Avengers Endgame star CONFIRMS he survived Infinity War Snap: Is he a SKRULL?

Fans are just months away from knowing who will be brought back following the shocking events in Infinity War and who will then survive the final showdown with Thanos. Despite the relentless onscreen deaths in Avengers 3, some stars are guaranteed to return, since they already have future MCU movies lined up. The fate of some characters, though, has been much more unclear, since they were not shown at all in the action-packed final scenes of the last movie. One popular Doctor Strange hero recently teased his return but the disturbing image posted online convinced many fans he was actually a Skrull.  

In a new interview with Collider, Benedict Wong, who also plays the character Wong, has clarified that he has definitely been shooting scenes for Avengers Endgame.

Furthermore, the real meaning behind his confusing Instagram photograph has finally been explained.

Wong is currently promoting his new TV show, Deadly Class, which is produced by Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo. Wong plays Master Lin, the headmaster of a secret school which trains assassins.

He said: “There was a time when I was doing Avengers 4. Normally it would be a logistical nightmare with the hair and negotiating that, but it’s great. I’m grateful to be on a double Russo Brothers production. It was streamlined.”

First, this absolutely confirms he will be back in Endgame, and presumably did not die in The Snap.

Secondly, that shot of him where it was unclear if he was having his hair and face peeled on or off has now been revealed at the process transforming him between Wong and Lin.

The actor added: “They made a very expensive silicon wig [for Wong in Avengers: Endgame] that they glued on because they wanted to keep me with hair more for Lin.”

In fact, fans can expect to see a lot more of Wong in Endgame. 

Wong was last seen in Infinity War going through the portal back to protect the Sanctus Sanctorum after the encounter with Ebony Maw. He is now one of the last remaining heroes with any knowledge of the other planes and dimensions.

In the absence of Doctor Strange, he will be vital to any understanding of the Infinity Stones and the Quantum Realm.
