Avengers Infinity War DEATHS: Is the Soul Stone linked to Iron Man's potential downfall?

WARNING POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS INFINITY WAR

Downey Jr himself has said that “heads will roll” in Marvel‘s Avengers Infinity War and most fans speculate his Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America are most likely to die.

Considering recent trailers, TV spots and leaked images, could a potential Iron Man death be linked to the Soul Stone.

What’s interesting is in one scene Tony Stark and Spider-Man appear to be on Titan, Thanos’ home planet, with the Guardians of the Galaxy, before they get into a big fight with the villain.

Other recent shot have seen Iron Man and Spidey being beaten to a pulp by Thanos.

Now we know the third act of Avengers Infinity War is the Battle of Wakanda, when Thanos’ army charges Black Panther’s secretive nation to retrieve the Mind Stone from Vision’s forehead.

We also have seen a shot from a TV spot of Thanos using the Space Stone to arrive in Wakanda.

But what was most shocking in that scene was the first glimpse of the orange Soul Stone in his Infinity Gauntlet.

Now presuming Thanos has just arrived from Titan to collect the Mind Stone, what’s interesting is there are no shots or set photos/descriptions of Iron Man being at the Battle of Wakanda.

Whereas Entertainment Weekly’s set visit included the Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor getting ready for battle, Tony Stark was nowhere to be seen.

This could be that Iron Man will meet his end on Titan at the hands of Thanos, but does this have something to do with the Soul Stone?

After all, if it’s not on the villain’s home planet, what was everyone doing there? And let’s not forget Thanos was seen arriving in Wakanda with it.

But what does the Soul Stone have to do with Iron Man?

Well a few months ago some promo art showed each Avenger who is known to be linked to the Infinity Stones, like Vision with Mind and Doctor Strange with Time, but Iron Man is associated with the Soul Stone.

This sparked theories that Tony Stark some how is the Soul Stone – like Harry Potter being the final Horcrux – or is at least connected to it.

So, what if for Thanos to obtain the Soul Stone means the death of Iron Man, or his soul being trapped in some way – maybe in another realm like King T’Chaka in Black Panther?
