Avengers Infinity War: Did Thanos star Josh Brolin just SPOIL Avengers 4’s ENDING?

While Marvel fans are gearing up for Avengers Infinity War next week, not much is known about its 2019 sequel.

Code-named Avengers 4, the mysterious follow-up is shrouded in mystery.

However it looks like Brolin, who plays big purple baddie Thanos, may have accidentally alluded to a major spoiler.

Speaking with Comic Book Movie, Brolin was asked about taking on both Marvel’s Thanos and Cable from Deadpool 2.

However he revealed he doesn’t really mind the juggle, since he doesn’t see himself playing Thanos for very long at all.

He said: “I don’t like the idea of a franchise, personally.

“That’s what makes the Thanos thing really great. It’s a finite thing, and I like that.”

To be fair to Brolin, who almost played Batman, he’s only previously played Thanos briefly in Guardians of the Galaxy and in the Avengers: Age of Ultron’s mid-credits scene.

But now Avengers Infinity War sees him take a central role, having the most screen time of any character in the movie alongside Thor.

And while Thanos is expected in Avengers 4, Brolin’s comments allude that, well, his villain will be defeated and presumably die like most MCU baddies.

Of course, some fans might not even see this as a spoiler, seeing as villains always get their comeuppance in blockbuster superheroes movies, especially ones coming from Disney.

Nevertheless perhaps Brolin should have held his tongue, as for all fans would have known, he’d return in Marvel Phase 4.

Avengers Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2018, while Avengers 4 will follow on April 26, 2019.
