Avengers Infinity War director SPEAKS OUT on Marvel Phase 4 after Avengers 4

With Avengers Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 to go, Marvel Phase 3 is far from over yet.

However what movies will take hold of Phase 4 is yet to be announced aside from a Spider-Man Homecoming sequel and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

And ye one of the Russo brothers, who directed Avengers Infinity War, has teased what is to come.

Speaking with Yahoo Movies, Joe Russo teased that Marvel Phase 4 will be “pretty drastic” in terms of difference with Phase 3.

Russo said: “I think massively different.

“I think that this is if Marvel has been writing a book for ten years, it’s the end of the book and someone is going to write a new book.

“Who knows what that new book will be but this is an ending and that’ll be a new beginning.”

Marvel boss Kevin Feige has previously teased that Marvel Phases 1-3 will act as the first saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while the next 20 or so movies will act as the second.

Last November Feige was asked when the Marvel Phase 4 titles would finally be announced.

Speaking with Collider, Feige said: “It won’t be for a while. Our focus is on the next six movies. 

“Finishing the first three phases, getting Untitled Avengers [4] out into the world in May ‘19 before publicly focusing on anything else.”

Then last month Disney confirmed new dates for Marvel Phase 4 up until 2022, adding to the 2020 dates of May 1, July 31 and November 6 – that were previously announced. They are:

May 6, 2022
July 29, 2022

Avengers Infinity War will be released on April 26, 2018, while Avengers 4 will follow on April 26, 2019.
