Avengers Infinity War is now BIGGEST superhero movie of all time: Guess how many BILLIONS?

Just over two weeks ago the Marvel epic stormed the box office, breaking records left, right and centre.

After topping Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ biggest opening ever, Avengers Infinity War became the fastest film to make $1 billion of all time, in just 11 days.

Now in its third weekend at the box office it’s remained No 1 and opened to an earth-shattering $200 million in China.

And now according to Box Office Mojo, the gargantuan movie has made over $1.606 billion worldwide.

This not only makes Avengers Infinity War the biggest superhero movie ever, but the fifth highest-grossing film of all time.

The movie now sits on top of both its predecessors, with Avengers Assemble’s lifetime gross being $1.518 billion and Avengers: Age of Ultron at $1.405 billion.

Meanwhile Black Panther stands in 10th place with $1.341 billion.

Avengers Infinity War is only $65 million away from topping Jurassic World, the fourth biggest film of all time.

Meanwhile the top three of all time consist of Star Wars: The Force Awakens at $2.068 billion, Titanic at $2.187 billion and Avatar at $2.787 billion.

It seems at this stage there’s no doubt Avengers Infinity War will top Jurassic World.

However it remains unclear if it will beat Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Although having broken that film’s box office records on a number of levels, it’s certainly looking possible.

Of course let’s not forget Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is released next month, which could rival Avengers Infinity War.

And then next year there’s Avengers 4, the finale of the last ten of MCU movies.

Will that superhero movie do even better than Infinity War? Fans will have to wait and see.
