Avengers Infinity War UK release date PUSHED FORWARD for earlier opening than US

For Marvel movies, the usual format is for the UK to get the latest film a week before the US.

That was until last week when America’s release date for Avengers Infinity War was pushed forward  to open with Britain on April 27.

However, it has now been confirmed by Yahoo Movies UK that British fans will be getting to see the Marvel epic earlier.

It may not be the usual week gap, but the movie will be released on April 26 – a whole day before the US.

It’s currently not known why the change has been made, especially when the US release was moved forward to match the UK.

Fans have speculated last week’s move was to avoid spoilers, especially if any major Avengers die in the Infinity War against Thanos.

However, with the UK now getting the film 24 hours ahead, presumably there must be another reason.

Meanwhile the runtime for Avengers Infinity War has been revealed by AMC Cinemas.

The new Marvel film will be 2 hours and 36 minutes – a full nine minutes longer than the previous record holder, Captain America: Civil War.

Avengers Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2018.
