Creed 2 runtime: How long is Creed 2? Total running time revealed

The new addition to the long-running Rocky franchise is out in cinemas now. Michael B Jordan stars once again as Adonis Creed, but this time he’s headed for revenge. With Rocky training him for the fight of his life, and his name, Creed headed back to the ring with a lot riding on his broad, muscled shoulders. As movies are growing longer and longer, some fans may not want to head to the cinema.

But how long is Creed 2?

The sequel clocks in at two hours and five minutes.

Given the nearly three hours of some Marvel movies, 130 minutes will feel like a breeze to some moviegoers.

The first Creed movie from 2015 also ran a similar time, at 133 minutes, so fans know what to expect.

Many of the original cast members have returned to the sequel.

Both Michael B Jordan and Sylvester Stallone take up their main roles as Adonis and Rocky respectively.

Tessa Thompson also returned to the franchise as Bianca, Creed’s girlfriend and eventual mother of his child.

From the original Rocky series, Dolph Lundgren also reprised his role of the villainous Ivan Drago.

Florian Munteanu joined the cast as Ivan’s son, Viktor Drago and Adonis’ antagonist in the ring.

Another familiar face made an appearance.

Milo Ventimiglia returned as Rocky’s estranged son, Robert who has, since his appearance in Balboa, moved to Canada.

At just over two hours, fans will likely not face a boring moment in the sequel.

Reviews have been positive, though not as overwhelmingly so as in the first Creed movie.

The door seems to still be open for a third instalment, though this time with Stallone stepping out of the spotlight.

The star took to Instagram to announce his handing-over of the franchise to Jordan.

How future Creed movies will play out remains to be seen, but for now, Creed II is proving itself a formidable film.

Creed 2 currently holds an approval rating of 82 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

At 130 minutes, braving the weather and queues doesn’t seem like too much effort for a movie which fans and critics alike have praised.
