What is the plot of Destroyer?

The premise of the movie follows Kidman in different points of her life.

As a young detective in the Los Angeles Police Department, Erin Bell was placed undercover with a gang in the California desert with tragic results.

The leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, ostensibly to confront Bell.

Bell must now work her way back through the surviving gang members as well as her own history with them.

The movie sees her finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past.
