Sometimes, the travel bug turns into something far more life changing.

Some of you will discover that a chance trip, remarkable holiday or business mandate means that you have to change more than area codes. Some of you more intrepid travelers will have to actually move to another country. Immigration lawyers Hansen & Company offered the following infographic that lists the most expensive cities based on property cost.

Tokyo, for example, is an amazing city to visit, but it’s no deal when it comes to traveling on the cheap. Things get really dire if you want to live there as property will run you $241,865 per meter.

The website offers 10 such expensive cities that remain attractive destinations for travel. But, if you are curious as to how much it would be to uproot your life and move there, the costs are right there to amaze you.

Hansen & Company also offer a couple of tidbits for each city to explain why it’s so remarkably expensive to live in, say, Hong Kong, which hosts a wealth of free market practices.
