Fifty Shades Freed's Jamie Dornan for THIS shock career move after Dakota Johnson movies?

Dornan has a raft of exciting projects on his plate after the final movie in the erotic trilogy, Fifty Shades Freed, came out in February.

But now he’s been revealed as one of the key contenders to take over from Daniel Craig as none other than James Bond.

Bookies have installed him as one of the frontrunners to succeed Craig after he bows out, following the news that the upcoming 007 caper will be his last.

With Coral, Dornan has odds of 16/1 – making him the joint ninth favourite alongside Michael Fassbender.

Given more likely chances are James Norton (5/2), Tom Hardy (3/1), Jack Huston (5/1) and Idris Elba (6/1).

Aidan Turner (8/1), Harry Styles (8/1), Tom Hiddleston (10/1) and “any female” (12/1) are also generating interest.

“James Norton is in pole position to replace Daniel Craig according to our betting and punters agree as it is has been one-way traffic for McMafia star recently,” said Coral’s John Hill.

But still, it’s interesting to see Dornan part of the conversation – and with Craig’s last 007 outing reportedly set to be delayed, could the former Christian Grey move up in the betting?

Elsewhere, former co-star Dakota Johnson has spoken about her own new post-Fifty Shades project, Suspiria.

Speaking to Elle, she said the film “no lie, f**ked me up so much that I had to go to therapy”.

With no confirmed release date, the drama is expected to land at some point in the second half of 2018 via Amazon Studios.

Johnson’s other upcoming credits include The Peanut Butter Falcon, and an untitled thriller alongside Armie Hammer and Zazie Beetz.

The movie began principle photography earlier this month and is said to be on a fast-track for release next March.

Fifty Shades Freed is out on DVD and Blu-ray in June.
