The Fox News hosts appeared shocked after playing a clip showing House of Representatives member Ms Tlaib retelling how she had told her son she would help “impeach that mother*****r” after she was elected in November. Jedediah Bila said she was “impressed” by the uncivil language Ms Tlaib had used as she cautioned the newly-elected batch of Democrats in Congress to focus on policy rather than on trying to impeach . Colleague Steve Doocy branded the language used a “rough” but suggested more confrontational tones could come to be used in the final two years of the Trump Administration.

The Fox News anchorwoman said: “Incivility really does impress me from the start. It was really quite impressive.

“I think you’re going to see a lot more of that, too. I didn’t think it’s going to be surprising to a lot of people.

“The consensus among many was that the Democrats were going to come in and the first thing they were going to do was investigate Donald Trump ad nauseam. I cautioned them because people who voted you in are expecting you to focus on policy, not investigation. They’ve been trying to impeach him since he got elected.”

Mr Doocy added: “When she had that soundbite where she was talking about the conversation she had had with her son – it does follow what she had penned in the Detroit Free Press earlier in the day.

“An op-ed calling President Trump a ‘direct and serious threat to America.’ But you know, for a Democrat to say this President is ‘uncivil, he went over the line, inappropriate behaviour for an elected official,’ – you look at what she said at that event and you just say that was rough language. Is that a preview of coming tractions, I don’t know.

Rashida Tlaib, who became the first Palestinian-American to be sworn into Congress, told a cheering crowd attending a MoveOn.org – a progressive public policy organisation – she had said to her son “bullies don’t win” after she won her seat in November.

Ms Tlaib was filmed saying: “When your son looks at you and says ‘mama, look, you won, bullies don’t win.’ And I said ‘no, they don’t,’ because we are going to go and impeach the mother*****r.”

She later appeared to defend her comment when she wrote on Twitter: “I will always speak truth to power #unapologeticallyMe”

Political conflict appears to also follow the newly-elected Representative in her personal life after her brother Nader revealed the pair “fight all the time” due to him supporting President Trump.

Mr Tlaib said: “She is a Democrat, I’m a Republican so we don’t see eye-to-eye on a lot of issues.

“I’m a conservative Republican, we don’t see eye-to-eye but I’ll tell you she is a fighter and I think that’s what’s missing in our legislative branch.

“There’s not a lot of fighters there, just career politicians. We fight all the time, especially about Trump.”

Rep. Tlaib’s demands for impeaching Mr Trump appeared to resonate in her colleague , who on Thursday announced he would reintroduce articles of impeachment against the President on the first day of the new Congress.

Rep. Sherman cited “high crimes and misdemeanours” to justify his demands for Mr Trump to be removed from office. The US President has been facing intense scrutiny over his conduct in the run-up to the 2016 Presidential Elections as part of the

Mr Sherman said: “I understand that a majority of our Democratic Caucus will want to wait until Special Counsel Robert Mueller completes his report, which I would hope will be issued in the next two to three months.”

Speaker of the House had urged Democrats to “wait and see” until the finding of the investigations are published before starting plans to impeach Mr Trump.
