Han Solo movie: Star Wars hunk 'Lando is PANSEXUAL' – What the Force does pansexual mean?
Not since the heady days of Captain Jack has a sci-fi leading man spread himself so wide.
The Doctor Who and Torchwood heartthrob was famously open to all opportunities and it seems Lando Calrissian is cut from the same cloth.
Donald Glover and the Solo: A Star wars makers have been exploring Lando’s pansexuality in new interviews.
It looks like he really was flirting with Han in that new scene, after all!
Fans were already conviced someting was going on after Lando called Han “baby” is one trailer scene.
His sarcastic droid (is there any other kind?), L3-37, also tells him to stop flrting with the young smuggler wannabee.
In a new interview Glover said: “How can you not be pansexual in space? There’s so many things to have sex with.”

Glover embraces the new open sexuality on screen and added: “I mean, serious. I didn’t think that was that weird. Yeah, he’s coming on to everybody. I mean, yeah, whatever. He’s like having like a ’70s swing — yeah.
“It just didn’t seem that weird to me ’cause I feel like if you’re in space it’s kind of like, the door is open! It’s like, not only guys or girls. No, it’s anything. This thing is literally a blob. Are you a man or a woman? Like, who cares? Have good time out here.”
Suddenly the shot of Lando in the bar with a bizarre squid-like creature with multiple eyes starts to look very different…
Star Wars has long flirted with broader sexualities, but usually off-screen.
The Last Jedi’s Vice-Admiral Holdo acknowledges herattraction to women, but only in the novelisation.
JJ Abrams has repeatedly declared that there will be more LGBTQ charaters in the Star Wars universe but nothing has been put front and centre in one of the movies yet.
Even Lando’s apparently fluid sexuality is unspoken although the screenwriters hope that more may be revealed, especially now that spin-off movie is in the works.
Solo co-writer Jonathan Kasdan said: “There’s a fluidity to Donald and Billy Dee’s [portrayal of Lando’s] sexuality.
“I mean, I would have loved to have gotten a more explicitly LGBT character into this movie. I think it’s time, certainly, for that, and I love the fluidity ― sort of the spectrum of sexuality that Donald appeals to and that droids are a part of.
“He doesn’t make any hard and fast rules. I think it’s fun. I don’t know where it will go.”
