Incredibles 2 cast: Who plays Elastigirl and Mr Incredible?

The Parr family really are incredible.

With their superpowers, the Parr family managed to defeat villain Syndrome (voiced by Jason Lee).

Incredibles 2 picks up three months after the events of the first movie.

The Incredibles, and Frozone aka Lucius Best, battle new villain the Underminer as he attempts to rob Metroville Bank.

IMDB describes the plot as: “Elastigirl springs into action to save the day, while Mr Incredible faces his greatest challenge yet — taking care of the problems of his three children.”

Incredibles 2 will be directed by Brad Bird, who also wrote and directed the first movie.

Mr Incredible was voiced by Craig T Nelson in the first movie, and the actor has reprised his role for the sequel.

Craig T Nelson was born in 1944 and is a storied American actor with a plethora of credits.

He appeared in the TV series Coach, starring as Hayden Fox.

Nelson featured as the patriarch of the Braverman family Ezekiel “Zeek” Braverman for the shows six series.

He also appeared in The Mary Tyler Moore show, Poltergeist, My Name is Earl, and many others.

Elastigirl, aka Helen Parr, is voiced by Holly Hunter, an American actress and producer.

She starred as Ada McGrath in the 1993 film The Piano, for which she won the Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Golden Globe Award, and Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress.

Hunter is a seven-time Emmy Award nominee, garnering the awards for Roe vs. Wade (1989) and The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom (1993).

Hunter made her film debut in the 1981 horror movie The Burning as Sophie.

When Hunter moved to New York City she roomed with fellow actress Frances McDormand.

With equally long careers in show business, both Hunter and Nelson make a perfect pair to helm the Incredibles family.
