Incredibles’ sequel picks up in the aftermath of the first movie, with the Parr family still coming to grips with being superheroes.

The first movie featured the Parr family saving the world from Syndrome, the villain, voiced by Jason Lee.

Incredibles 2 focusses in on Elastigirl springing into action to save the day.

Incredibles 2 will be released in IMAX and IMAX 3D, with fans expecting the light-hearted, cartoonish charm to shine through after such a long wait from the first film.

The Incredibles sequel already had its debut in LA, California on June 5, 2018, to rave reviews.

Incredibles 2 pre-sales are already ahead of the Finding Dory pre-sales from 2016, the last Pixar film to come out in cinemas.

Incredibles 2 comes out stateside a fair bit earlier than it does in the UK.

The sequel will arrive in USA cinemas on June 15, 2018.

Originally scheduled for release on June 21, 2019, Incredibles 2 was brought forward by nearly a year to its June date.

The date change was made to avoid conflict with the long-awaited Toy Story 4.

The first Incredibles movie earned £261million domestically in its entire cinema runtime of 23 weeks.

Understandably, predictions for Incredibles 2 are high.

Pre-sales are already ahead of heavyweights like DC’s Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad, as well as Marvel/Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Incredibles 2 will be directed by Brad Bird, and features return voice cast of Holly Hunter, Craig T Nelson, Sarah Vowell, and Samuel L Jackson.

Incredibles 2 is in UK cinemas Friday, July 13 and in USA June 15.
