James Bond 25: GOOD NEWS as details finally CONFIRMED for Danny Boyle’s 007

The 25th entry in the 007 franchise is set to begin production this year, on December 3.

As previously reported, it has finally been confirmed that Danny Boyle will be at the helm.

A tweet from the official James Bond Twitter feed reads: “We’ve been expecting you… #Bond25, Daniel Craig’s 5th outing as 007, will be directed by Academy Award-winning Danny Boyle from an original screenplay by John Hodge.

“Production is set to begin on 3 Dec 2018. MGM will partner with Universal Pictures to release the film worldwide.”

Craig had previously confirmed his involvement last summer after months of speculation, though official news updates have been few and far between ever since.

As for the release date, Deadline reports that it will not be delayed despite speculation to the contrary.

The UK is expected to get it in October next year, meaning there will be a quick turnaround between production and release.

A US unveiling should then follow in November 2019.

Craig’s co-stars have yet to be revealed, but the likes of Lily James and Angelina Jolie have both been rumoured – with the latter even thought to be playing a villain.

This new caper is expected to be Craig’s last – with Tom Hardy and James Norton both heavily favoured to be his successor.

Jack Huston, Idris Elba and even Harry Styles have also been touted at various points.

Earlier this week, bookies also slashed the odds of a female booking the iconic role next.

Craig’s most recent 007 outing was in 2015’s Spectre, which followed Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall.

As for the theme tune to the new movie, Dua Lipa and Beyonce have both been tipped to be in the running.
