Kate Middleton in pictures: Duchess returns to royal duties following maternity leave

Today she visited a school which gives inner city children the chance to learn and interact with the natural world.

The Duchess kept her look casual with a green jumper over a printed shirt and wore a matching light jacket.

She teamed the practical look with slim-fitting trousers and knee-high boots.

Kensington Palace tweeted a video of the Duchess during the royal outing.

Kate Middleton, 36, visited Forest School and Wildlife Garden today as she returned to royal duties following the end of her maternity leave.

The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to her third child, Prince Louis  in April.

Kate, who is also mum to Prince George, five, and Princess Charlotte, three, has been seen on a several occasions during her maternity leave however, the outings were to family events.

The wife of Prince William, 36, was pictured at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in May at Windsor Castle and the Christening of Prince Louis at the Chapel Royal in July.
