The 35-year-old met with the survivors and hospital staff at the hospital in Denmark Hill, south east London.

The wife of Prince William, second in line to the British throne, arrived at the hospital at 1.50pm.

The event was not publicised in advance so as not to hinder the treatment of the brave survivors of the attack.

Fourteen victims of the attack were taken to King’s College Hospital after the attack on June 3.

Thirteen of them needed treatment for stab wounds and three were in critical condition.

The Duchess wore a sedate navy blue wollen skirt and matching jacket.

The jacket featured three-quarter length sleeves.

She eschewed jewellery, accessorising with navy pumps.

Kate met Nick Moberly, the hospital’s Chief Executive and Medical Director Professor Julia Wendon.

The Duchess plans to spend time at the bed sides of those still record from the attacks.

The attack took place in London Bridge on the evening of June 3.

Three Islamic terrorists crashed a car into crowds before attacking people in pubs and restaurants in Borough Market.
