Meghan Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 33, honoured those from New Zealand and Australia who have died in conflict.

The pair attended the service at dawn, and Harry laid a wreath on a cross at Wellington Arch in London.

Meghan Markle looked stunning in a wife brimmed black hat.

She wore a grey military-style trench coat and black heels, with her legs bare despite the chilly morning.

Her shoes were the Sarah Flint Jay Pump. The black suede shoes cost £282.74.

A note on the roses from Prince Harry read: “For all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in pursuit of our freedom. Thank you. Harry”

The couple met Te Ataraiti Waretini from Ngati Ranana, the London Maori Club, with a ritual known as a hongi.

This is when visitors press their noses to those of their hosts and breathe together.

The leader of the cultural group said: “(Meghan) was amazing. I’m not sure if it’s her first time at a Maori ceremony but she did very very well.

“It was really lovely to meet her and share the breath of life and share our culture with her and Harry.”

What is Anzac Day?

Anzac Day is the day of the Anzacs landing at Gallipoli in 1915 is annually commemorated, 25 April.

The Anzacs are the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.

The Gallipoli campaign saw the soldiers step out to the Gallipoli Peninsula in the Black Sea.

This helped the war effort, but 8,709 from Australia and 2,721 from New Zealand passed away during the action.

Meghan Markle wore black recently for the Stephen Lawrence memorial in London.

Meghan was attending the memorial service at St. Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square, London.

Prince Harry’s bride paired the slightly unflattering grey dress with a pair of nude pointed court shoes with a stiletto heel.

The dress was worn belted with a V neck neckline. It was sleeveless and had a flare at the bottom.

Her nude shoes were matched by a clutch bag, in an homage to the Duchess of Cambridge’s favourite accessory.
