Melania Trump was pictured with Donald Trump at the Joint Base Andrews in Maryland today.

They were paying their respects to the family of the US Secret Service Special Agent Nole Edward Remagen, who passed away last Sunday.

The officer suffered a stroke while protecting the US President in Scotland over the weekend, and died on Tuesday.

He was treated in Scotland before he died. His body has been flown from Scotland to the US today.

Donald has since released a statement, in which he calls Nole “a hero”.

It reads: ““Our hearts are filled with sadness over the loss of a beloved and devoted special agent, husband, and father.

“At the time of his passing, he was among the elite heroes who serve in the Presidential Protection Division of the Secret Service.”

Melania wore a navy skirt suit for the occasion, to reflect the sombre nature of the visit.

She paired this with a pair of pointed black stiletto with a high spike heel.

Underneath the suit she wore simply a white T-shirt, and accessorised with a slim white belt.

The First Lady wore a pair of dark sunglasses over her face as she crossed the South Lawn of the White House.

Her shoulder length chestnut hair was also swept over her face, hiding her expressions.

Melania looked glum in pictures, visibly affected by the tragic event.

Donald also looked solemn, his brow furrowed as he walked out in a black suit with a white shirt.

Yesterday, Melania posted a video showcasing the Trumps’ Europe tour.

They have travelled to no less than three European countries in the space of a week.

The pair first travelled to the NATO conference in Brussels, Belgium. They were pictured with French President Emmanuel Macron, 40, and his wife Brigitte Macron, 65.

Melania and Donald went on to make a working visit to the UK.

They met Queen Elizabeth II, 92, at Windsor Castle, and Prime Minster Theresa May, 61, at Chequers.

Their final stop was in Finland, where a summit was held between Donald and Vladimir Putin, 65, the President of Russia.
