Melania Trump style: First Lady sports RARE casual look on duty with Donald Trump

The First Lady is well known for her glamorous looks – from designer ball gowns to figure-hugging chic dresses. 

But Melania Trump took a much more casual approach to her style when she joined her husband on the sobering hospital visit. 

The 46-year-old sported a beige trench coat with straight leg black pants. 

Her unusually simple style was complemented by a pair of black stiletto pointed heels.

Melania wore her hair down for the occasion, with eye-catching white nail polish to complete the look. 

Her down-to-business outfit suited the humbling event she was attending. 

The First Lady joined President Trump as he marked his first visit to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD to award a very special honour. 

Army sergeant Alvaro Barrientos was wounded in Afghanistan on March 17 and received a Purple Heart for his bravery. 

Barrientos has his right leg below the knee amputated after an Afghan soldier opened fire inside a base in the Helmand province. 

Before pinning the award on Barrientos, Trump remarked: “When I heard about this and I wanted to do it myself.”

Melania Trump often accompanies her husband to ceremonies and official events.

But the pair are still living in separate homes, with Melania still living at Trump Tower in New York. 

The First Lady broke with tradition when she did not initially join her husband in the White House.

Transition spokesman Jason Miller said the Trumps were “energised and excited about their new role” but felt concerned about son Barron changing schools in the middle of the year.

According to reports Melania has also stayed behind to prepare Trump Tower for the families official move to Washington.

Now it has been revealed that Melania will be moving to the White House this summer.
