North Korea warns 'hundreds of millions' in US will DIE if 'Trump doesn't prevent war'
The communist country’s mouthpiece, Rodong Sinmun, issued the chilling threat in its newspaper as nuclear tensions loom with Washington.
Pyongyang claimed the recent evacuation drill in South Korea was a “prelude to war” and warned of a “complete destruction” of the US.
The propaganda outlet said Donald Trump’s White House must “save the lives of hundreds of millions of Americans” and prevent war with the isolated nation.
It added: “This is nothing but a prelude to a war for invading the DPRK and an open declaration of the US to ignite a war at any moment.”
The commentary added: “If a war breaks out, even survivors cannot seek a shelter anywhere.
“The US would be well advised to urgently take measures to save the lives of hundreds of millions of Americans in the mainland rather than being concerned about the security of those in South Korea.”
Another state media outlet – Minju Joson – said the “only way for the US to escape complete destruction” was to withdraw its military and citizens from South Korea.
The Kim regime accused South Korea of sabre rattling after the deployment of its US supplied THAAD antimissile system as President Trump aids the state in securing the Korean border.
But in a threatening display of Kim Jong-un’s spycraft, the hermit kingdom showed its citizens satellite imagery of the missile system – deployed at a golf course in the southern Seongju province.
It is not currently clear when or how the images were obtained, but experts have claimed the images are part of a scheme to threaten South Korea by showing off the tiny tyrant’s skilled intelligence.
They added the deployment would “turn the Korean Peninsula as a battlefield for a nuclear war among powerful countries”.
