Prince Louis' shirt in new official portrait is on sale for bargain price

Prince Louis‘ checkered shirt in a newly-released official portrait is now on sale for the bargain price of £25. Louis is celebrating his sixth birthday today – with a new portrait of the cheeky youngster released on social media.

The Prince and Princess of Wales released a brand-new portrait of their youngest son in honour of his special day on April 23.

The sweet picture was posted on both their official Instagram and X accounts, along with a caption which read: “Happy 6th Birthday, Prince Louis! Thank you for all the kind wishes today.”

In the image, which was taken recently by the Princess of Wales, Louis is wearing the Thomas Brown Camel Check Oliver Shirt, which is currently retailing for £25 on Trotters.

Louis – who appears to have some of his baby teeth missing – dons the off-white shirt with brown and blue checkering print with blue trousers.

He is also is seen looking the image of his father, Prince William, who is also known to be a fan of a checkered shirt.

William – who was visiting Australia with Princess Kate and their eldest son, George – was spotted wearing a near-identical shirt in 2014.

Prince George also sported a similar shirt in his official 10th birthday pictures last July.

Posting a new photograph is a tradition for the Prince and Princess of Wales, with them releasing a new image of their three children on the eve of each of their birthdays.

Similar to all her children’s previous birthdays portraits, Princess Kate snapped the latest picture of her youngest son.

Despite her ongoing cancer treatment, the decision for Kate to take the relaxed picture suggests that she is keen to get back behind the camera.

Prince Louis Arthur Charles was born on April 23, 2018 at the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in London.

At the time of his birth, a statement from Kensington Palace read: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.”

As well as revealing his birth weight as 8lbs 7oz, the statement let fans know that William was present for the birth.

Louis is the younger brother to his two elder siblings – George and Princess Charlotte, who turns nine next month.
