The Royal Family are not known for their social media presence, with many royals banned from operating any social media accounts.

Launched only last March, Princess Eugenie, 28, already has a 140,000-strong following, posting intimate snaps of her family, daily life and fiance Jack Brooksbank.

Taking to the social media platform this afternoon, Eugenie shared a series of happy and relaxed shots of herself meeting achievers of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.

Showing off her gleaming teeth with a beaming smile, the princess wore a white ensemble with striking multi-coloured floral prints.

The dress featured lose sleeves cut to the elbow, and a deep plunging neckline accentuating the 28-year-old décolletage.

Made of a delicate fabric, the wraparound dress floated in the breeze as Eugenie laughed and joked with the crows gathered in Buckingham Palace gardens.

Cinched in at the waist with a belt, the dress accentuated Eugenie’s svelte physique, with the front coming to the knee and back of the dress draping down to her ankles.

She complemented the ethereal summery look with a simple pair of pointed-toe stilettos, open at the sides with black straps and a nude, closed toe.

In-keeping with the relaxed nature of the event, Eugenie wore her signature flame hair loose and around her shoulders, tucked behind her ears.

Eugenie finished off the outfit with delicate gold drop-down earrings and a barely-there makeup.

The post, taken from inside the grounds of Buckingham Palace, was captioned: “So lovely meeting the incredible Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award achievers and their families @dofeuk. In my next life looks like I could be a comedian.”

Many followers were quick to show their approval of the princess’ look, with one commenting: “You look fantastic – such a beautiful dress”

The Princess was stepping in for her grandfather, Prince Philip, who has retired from public duties despite this being his namesake project.

Along with her uncle Prince Edward, Duke of Wessex, 54, princess Eugenie met over 3000 young people from across the UK who were receiving their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

The award, started by the Duke of Edinburgh, is the world’s leading youth achievement award, consisting of an expedition and volunteer work.

Having recently joined the royal family, Meghan Markle is not permitted to have a social media account. The Suits star famously closed down her popular social outputs in January this year.

Showing her commitment to the royal family and royal protocol, Meghan reportedly also impressed the Queen by wearing nude tights to her father-in-law, Prince Charles’ 70th birthday party.

Although no official rule is known, protocol dictates that British royals do not have personal social media accounts.

Princess Eugenie is said to allowed social media accounts as she is not a “working royal”, which is illustrated by the fact they are not listed on the royal.uk website.
