Princess Eugenie channels Meghan Markle in wedding white – wears £2,052 dress for Ascot

Princess Eugenie, 28, wore an all white outfit to attend the Royal Ascot event today.

The bridal shade was a nod to her upcoming wedding to Jack Brooksbank, 31.

The outfit was also a homage to the go-to sartorial colour scheme of Meghan Markle, 36.

The Duchess of Sussex has been pictured in pale shades ever since her 19 May wedding to Prince Harry, 33.

Princess Eugenie wore an all-white coat dress by Osman Studio which costs £2,052.

It had a wrap style top which tied at the waist.

The skirt of the dress came down to just below Princess Eugenie’s knees.

The A-line skirt looked frumpy on her petite frame – Eugenie’s height is just 5″4. 

However, she balanced it with a pair of elegant pointed heels in a nude shade.

The heels had a stud embellishment on the outside edge of the shoe, bring personality to the outfit. 

The shoes are by Maison Valentino and cost £560.

She also carried a beige bag by M2 Malletier.

Finally, she wore a white wide-brimmed hat by Emily London Hats.

The wide flat hat shape was yet another nod to Meghan.

Meghan has worn the same style on two occasions: at Prince Charles’ garden party and at the Trooping of the Colours.

Will Princess Eugenie wear the Queen Mother’s tiara for her wedding? She looks similar to the late mother of Queen Elizabeth II.

Some think Princess Eugenie will wear the York tiara on her wedding day, which was gifted to her mother Sarah Ferguson upon her wedding to Prince Andrew in 1983.

However, it might be Eugenie wears a piece from the Queen’s personal collection instead.

A tiara associated with her lookalike great-grandmother would be a touching choice.

There are three main tiaras associated with the Queen Mother, who was born Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon.

These are the Queen Mary Fringe Tiara, the Lotus Flower Tiara and the Cartier Halo Scroll Tiara.
