Princess Kate sparks fan frenzy with latest outfit choice despite 'editing' chaos

Royal fans went into an absolute frenzy after Kensington Palace released a new image of Kate, the Princess of Wales, with her three children – the first official picture of the royal since her planned abdominal surgery back in January.

The photo was shrouded in controversy after it appeared to have been digitally manipulated, with many news agencies, including Britain’s national news agency, PA, retracting it after issuing a “kill notice” – essentially removing it from their circulation.

This morning, Princess Kate issued an apology, saying on X: “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C”

But royal fans did not let any ‘manipulation’ claims hide their excitement over the royal’s new picture, with several praising her for her brilliant style choice.

The Princess of Wales sat on a chair and wore a blue pair of skinny jeans, a navy blue button cuff turtleneck by Zara and a Bella Hoskyns bomber jacket in olive green with charcoal trim (£385). Princess Kate went casual chic for her Mother’s Day picture.

The future Queen finished the look with a pair of See by Chloe suede ankle boots. Kate was praised for supporting British designers like Bella Hoskyns.
