'Real reason' Meghan Markle's bio page is twice the length of Prince Harry's on new site

A PR expert has explained to Express.co.uk the reasoning behind Meghan Markle’s bio being longer than Prince Harry’s on their new Sussex website.

The couple’s individual pages detail their philanthropy and achievements both separately and together, although it interestingly makes little mention of their time in the Royal Family.

Meghan’s is almost twice the length of Harry’s, even with only one line dedicated to her time acting in Suits despite her being on the show for seven seasons.

PR expert Renae Smith said: “Regarding the difference in the length of Meghan’s and Harry’s bios, it’s plausible to interpret this as a deliberate decision to emphasise certain narratives over others.

“Meghan’s more detailed bio could indeed be an effort to spotlight her own accomplishments and identity separate from the royal context.

“For Prince Harry, the decision not to delve as deeply into his royal background COULD be seen as aligning with the couple’s broader strategy of forging a new, independent public identity that steps away from their roles within the British Royal Family – although using their titles on the website – this seems like a conflictual theme.”

She added: “From a PR and reputational standpoint, these decisions could be seen as thoughtful strategies to navigate the complex landscape of public perception.

“By carefully crafting their narratives, Meghan and Harry are likely attempting to balance respect for their backgrounds with a desire to establish themselves as independent entities with their own voices and missions. Such strategies are not uncommon for public figures looking to transition their public image or focus on new ventures.”

The Duke and Duchess have attracted some criticism for using their royal titles and crest so prominently on their website, while not being part of the Firm.

However both Harry and Meghan have hit back separately, with Meghan subtly swiping the critics by praising the design agency who created the website.
