With just a few months to go until Episode 8 hits cinemas, leaks and theories and flooding the internet.

Some, however, come from official sources and may have inadvertently given away tantalising details about major scenes in the movie.

A new official Star Wars book from the Journey To The Last Jedi series has revealed how many First Order warships and dreadnoughts will be deployed in a huge battle and what Poe Dameron and new character Tallie Lindra will be doing to try and stop them.

WARNING MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD

The new book is an in-depth look at Resistance A-Wings and features models plans so fans can build their own.

However, the book also includes a very detailed decription of the battle of D’Qar. This is expected to be the set-piece action scene in the First Act of the movie as Snoke and his First Order forces take revenge on the Resistance base after the destruction of Star Killer Base at the dramatic ened of The Force Awakens.

It is likely to be the battle already teased in early footage showing a huge confrontation in space and Poe Dameron running from an exploding A-wing.

Faced with overwhelming enemy strength, the Resistance is expected to try and evacuate the planet while its defenders frantically try to hold off no less than three First Order warships and one huge Dreadnought.

According to StarWarsNews.Net, the books says: “A-wings flew guard around the Resistance fleet and the transports fleeing the base. When three First Order warships emerged from hyperspace to attack, a squadron of A-wings, commanded by Tallie Lintra, assisted Poe Dameron and the Resistance’s assault bombers in taking on an enemy dreadnought.”

The explosive action sequence will introduce a heroic new character, Tallie Lintra, who will be played by British actress Hermione Corfield.

The book also features an illustration of Tallie in her A-Wing.
