David Beckham, 43, a former England footballer, met the Queen tonight.

The husband of former-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham looked very dapper and sauve.

His wife is a fashion business icon and award-winning designer, so it is only fitting the footballer looks his best.

But where was his wife tonight?

Last night Victoria posted a video to Instagram revealing she was at her Dover Street store.

She posted a picture with her husband earlier tody at Sotheby’s.

She captioned it: “Thanks to all @sothebys for a lovely evening x VB #VBXOMP #VBDoverSt”

Tonight David Beckam at Buckingham Palace worked his trademark charm.

The footballer wore a navy blue suit with a white shirt and blue tie with mini white polda dots.

The Queen was not immune to the star’s good looks.

Her Majesty smiled coyly as she shook David’s hand.

Meghan Markle, 36, the new Duchess of Sussex and wife of Prince Harry, 33, was also at the event.

Meghan Markle wore pink Prada at the special event.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined Her Majesty, 92, at a Reception for The Queen’s Young Leaders at Buckingham Palace.

The Queen’s Young Leaders is a programme to “find exceptional young people” from across the Commonwealth.

The website for the charitable organisation states: “The Programme is now in its fourth and final year and has formed a unique community of 240 influential change-makers, who represent 53 Commonwealth countries.”

Prince Harry was in South Africa in the past few days but his wife did not join him. Where was Meghan?

The new Duke of Sussex visited local children at the Phelisanong Children’s Centre in Lesotho, part of work undertaken by his charity, Sentebale.

The charity was started by the Prince, with Harry having very close emotional ties to the work carried out there.

Meaning so much to him, it didn’t go unnoticed that Meghan Markle wasn’t in attendance.

Prince Harry was in Lesotho for the opening of the centre’s new dining hall, helping to support and feed vulnerable children in the area.
