Why were Guns N' Roses BOOED during Melbourne show and forced to apologise to Aussie fans?

The legendary rock band has been having an appropriately ‘rocky’ time Down Under.

Just days ago Gun N’ Roses were held on the plane by airport security when they landed to start the Australianleg of their wolrd tour.

This time, Axl Rose and his band faced a hostile crowd, furious after they made the worst possible gaffe.

Gun N’ Roses had already arrived late on stage, so what happened next was NOT the way to win the crowd over.

The two cities have a huge historical rivalry, which often manifests in heated exchanges during sporting matches between the country’s two biggest centres.

It’s actually suprising frontman Axl Rose can even remmeber which band he is in. let alone which city, after he spent much of last year touring with AC/DC.

After the show, Guns N’ Roses attempted to smooth things over with some snappy tweets to local fans.

Guns N’ Roses wrote: “Melbourne! Accidentally, after 30 years McBob made an error, we’re truly sorry. Thank you for coming out tonight!”

Fortunately, most fans seemed happy to forgive and forget.

The rock legends have now joined fellow seasoned performers like Bruce Springsteen, Robbie Williams and Britney Spears, who have all forgotten which city they were appearing in.
