Avengers 4: Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner teases ‘TONGUE-BITING’ Avengers Infinity War sequel

Earlier this year when the first official poster for Avengers Infinity War was released, fans noticed a couple of heroes were missing.

Where were Hawkeye and Ant-Man?

The Marvel epic was released in late April and not even a post-credits tease saw these Avengers pop up.

Now it turns out they’ve been saved for Avengers 4 and fans are hoping they’ll play a bigger role in the fight back against Thanos.

Both characters were last seen being set free from prison by Steve Rogers at the end of Captain America: Civil War.

But while they didn’t appear in Avengers Infinity War they were mentioned, having made a deal with the government to be under house arrest with their families.

And now Hawkeye star Renner has teased what fans can expect for Avengers 4.

Speaking with USA Today, he said it’s going to be a tongue-biting experience.

Renner revealed: “Everybody’s got to bite their tongue. But if you like Infinity War, there’s some stuff to come. What I do know is it’s going to be awesome.”

The star also admitted that while he appreciated fans were disappointed he didn’t appear in Avengers Infinity War, some reacted in too extreme a manner.

He said: “It’s a nice feeling, I suppose. I think the Russo brothers got way too many death threats. I’m like, Wow, dude, that’s intense. I’m sorry!”

Last week both Hawkeye and Ant-Man appeared in leaked Avengers 4 concept art.

It’s encouraging to know they both survived the Snap, but what role they’ll play in Avengers 4 is currently unknown.

Hopefully Ant-Man and the Wasp, which is set before Avengers Infinity War, will shine something of a light on this mystery.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is released in UK cinemas on August 3, 2018, while Avengers 4 follows on April 26, 2019.
