Operation Finale Starring Oscar Isaac, Ben Kingsley: How to watch the trailer

Operation Finale follows the true story of a Mossad agent named Peter Malkin.

Malkin, played by Oscar Isaac, infiltrated Argentina to capture Adolf Eichmann, played by Ben Kingsley.

Eichmann was the Nazi officer who masterminded the transportation logistics that brought millions of innocent Jews to their deaths in concentration camps.

“After World War II Hitler’s deadliest lieutenant escaped,” the trailer’s crawl text says.

“This fall – the mission for justice begins,” it adds.

The trailer is chill-inducing and gut-wrenching, and yet subtly beautiful, whetting appetites for Operation Finale’s autumnal release.

The movie is described as a historical drama thriller and will also star Mélanie Laurent, Lior Raz, Nick Kroll and Joe Alwyn.

Operation Finale will be directed by Chris Weitz (About a Boy) and was written by Matthew Orton.

Co-star Oscar Isaac (Star Wars, Annihilation) is also a co-producer of the movie, which was accepted as an untitled spec script in November 2015.

Despite his Guatemalan-Cuban heritage, Isaac was cast as the Israeli Mossad agent Peter Malkin, who died in 2005.

The real Malkin was born in Pilgramshain, Weimar Germany (now Żółkiewka, Poland) to an observant Jewish family.

The family fled to Palestine in 1936 to escape the rising tide of German anti-Semitism.

Malkin’s sister Fruma and her three children who remained behind with 150 other relatives died in the Holocaust.

He wrote a memoir titled: Eichmann in My Hands: A Compelling First-Person Account by the Israeli Agent Who Captured Hitler’s Chief Executioner.

Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger (La La Land) will produce Operation Finale for Automatik along with Isaac, Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire, and Matt Charman (Bridge of Spies) as executive producer.

Operation Finale is slated for release on September 14, 2018.
