Avengers Endgame cast: Will THIS X-Men star appear in Avengers 4?

Avengers: Endgame will close the chapter on Phase III of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and with half of the heroes lives’ hanging in the balance, fans are looking to Avengers 4 with keen eyes. There are still four months until Avengers: Endgame is in cinemas, and with plenty of time to speculate, all sorts of fan theories have sprouted up. Will Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine appear in Avengers: Endgame?

Hugh Jackman vehemently promised 2017’s Logan would be his last time playing Wolverine.

But fans, including Marvel’s own Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, are hungry to see him take the mantle up once again.

With a Disney-Fox merger set to be completed soon, fans suspect there will be an X-Men Avengers crossover in the future.

FandomWire cited Google as a source for the potential crossover.

The Marvel site pointed out if you search the phrase “famous Hugh Jackman movies” on Google, Avengers: Endgame is listed as part of the actor’s resume.

Of course, Google has been known to have glitches before, and this could simply be an algorithmic mistake.

There has yet to be anything close to confirmation that Jackman will cameo in Avengers 4.

The Disney-Fox merger has yet to be finalised, so there is no legal way for Fox’s X-Men characters to wind up in the MCU.

However, the deal is expected to go through within in the first months of the new year.

Marvel is known for last minute additions and reshoots, so a quickly filmed cameo is possible, if improbable.

There are very few details available about the upcoming Avengers movie.

The only plot synopsis available so far is taken from the trailer, which reads: “Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle.

“Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers — Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner — must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos — the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.”

The cast of Avengers: Endgame include Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Chris Evans (Captain America), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Josh Brolin (Thanos), and Letitia Wright (Shuri).

Though absent from Avengers: Infinity War, Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) will appear along with Evangeline Lilly (The Wasp), Michelle Pfeiffer (the other Wasp), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie)

Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan) has also filmed scenes for the movie, and plenty of other faces are likely to appear.

The fallen heroes who will likely be resurrected somehow include Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Dave Bautista (Drax), Pom Klementieff (Mantis) and Groot (Vin Diesel).

Zoe Saldana (Gamora) has teased her return in Avengers: Endgame and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) has been spotted on set.
