The first trailer for Avengers: Endgame created a stir of excitement amongst Marvel fans. And now a leak, which originally found its way to Reddit in September, has resurfaced with some new additions. Leaked new art features the main surviving heroes as well as Thanos with his new armour and sword.

The upcoming images may contain spoilers for Avengers 4, so tread carefully.

Most leaks need to be taken with a grain of salt, as many could, in fact, be expertly made fan-art.

But Inverse.com pointed out one detail which adds a bit of credence to the images.

The below picture features Hawkeye as the character Ronin.

CAPTAIN MARVEL TRAILER: NEW THEORY LINKS CAPTAIN MARVEL TO AVENGERS 4

The art was first made public on September 15, months before the first Endgame trailer.

The Avengers: Endgame trailer all but confirmed the transformation of Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) into Ronin.

As for Thanos, the leaked image shows the Titan wielding a new double-sided sword.

So far the only plot synopsis available is interpreted from the events of the trailer.

AVENGERS 4: WHY DIDN’T THANOS KILL THE AVENGERS WHEN HE HAD THE CHANCE

The synopsis reads: “Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle.

Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers — Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner — must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies.

They must all come together for an epic showdown with Thanos — the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.”

The cast of Avengers: Endgame include Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Chris Evans (Captain America), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Josh Brolin (Thanos), and Letitia Wright (Shuri).

AVENGERS 4: COULD THESE VILLAINS BE BIGGER AND BADDER THAN THANOS?

Though absent from Avengers: Infinity War, Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) will appear along with Evangeline Lilly (The Wasp), Michelle Pfeiffer (the other Wasp), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie).

Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan) has also filmed scenes for the movie, and plenty of other faces are likely to appear.

The fallen heroes who will likely be resurrected somehow include Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Dave Bautista (Drax), Pom Klementieff (Mantis) and Groot (Vin Diesel).

Zoe Saldana (Gamora) has teased her return in Avengers: Endgame and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) has been spotted on set.

AVENGERS 4: WILL TILDA SWINTON PLAY THE ANCIENT ONE IN AVENGERS 4?

Den of Geek described the Avengers: Endgame trailer, saying: “Unlike the bombastic alien invasion craziness of the Avengers: Infinity War trailers, this one is appropriately introspective.”

Whatever comes to fruition with the new Avengers movie, fans will be both excited and sad to see the final chapter of Phase Three in cinemas.

Avengers: Endgame is out in cinemas on April 26, 2019.
