Tomorrow sees the adult superhero sequel released in the UK and things are looking very good for the Merc with a Mouth.

Last week saw the first reactions to Deadpool 2 revealed, which were overwhelming positive of Ryan Reynolds’ sequel.

Now Deadpool author and creator Liefeld has tweeted his reaction and admitted he was in tears as the film ended.

He tweeted: “I cried at the end of Deadpool 2.”

Liefeld continued: “Part was the nostalgia of the particular track blasting but mostly the emotion that they had landed the plane in such spectacular fashion.

“The plane is the movie in this analogy, there is no important plane landing sequence I’m referencing.

“I wiped those tears away as fast as I could before the lights came up because I couldn’t have everyone going ‘Why is Liefeld crying over Deadpool 2?’

“Movie is a blast. Dream come true. Spectacular hurdle cleared. Get ready for Cable, Domino and the rest!”

In a video on his Instagram, he said: “I’m gonna say this once, and then delete it…really quickly: Deadpool 2 is a work of genius.

“It is epic. It is…dammit, can’t believe I said it.”

The star has also revealed he won’t return as Wolverine for a crossover movie with Deadpool, despite Reynold’s pleas.

Speaking with TMZ, Jackman said: “Ship has sailed Ryan. Sorry brother.”

The Wolverine star was also asked on GMA and said: “Ryan…back it up a little.

“Play a little hard to get. It’s too much. It’s not sexy.”

Deadpool 2 is released in UK cinemas on May 15, 2018.
