Meghan Markle, 37, made her first royal engagement of the year  today to visit Smart Works in St Charles Hospital. The pregnant Duchess of Sussex looked as radiant as ever for the visit, wearing a £2,600 trench coat by Oscar de la Renta. Beneath her stylish coat Meghan rocked a chic black midi dress from maternity brand Hatch which highlighted her blossoming baby bump. The short-sleeved dress costs a staggering £170 ($218).

Referring back to her trademark hairstyle, Prince Harry’s, 34, wife tied her locks into a neat low bun to show off her £315 earrings from Kimai.

Meghan’s earrings were a unique design, consisting of a curved bar across the ear lobe with a dropped chain detail at either side and in the middle.

Kimai is an ethical and fair-trade jewellery brand, with all of the pieces made using 18 karat gold and lab grown diamonds.

Completing her look with a sophisticated handbag, the Duchess opted for a small boxy clutch bag.

Meghan had also seemingly dressed for comfort for her first royal engagement of 2019, as she approaches the due date of her first child with Prince Harry.

The former Suits actress topped off her ensemble with a pair of zebra print Gianvito Rossi heels – shoes she has had for a long time.

The heels made an appearance on her Instagram account long before she married Prince Harry.

On her now defunct social media page the Duchess shared a snap of her shoe collection, with the Gianvito Rossi pair in clear view in the first row.

Meghan was visiting Smart Works in West London today, an organisation helping long-term unemployed women develop the skills they need to return to work.

The organisation is just one of the four new patronages the mum-to-be has taken on.

While there, Meghan helped put together job interview outfits for some of the women and listened in on coaching sessions for interviews.

Prince Harry’s wife appeared to be in high spirits during the visit, showing off her natural beauty beneath effortless makeup.

Despite lashings of mascara and a sweep of kohl around her eyes, Meghan displayed a subtle glow on her cheekbones.

She also had a dash of rouge across her cheeks and a glossy pink lipstick.

Meghan’s visit was a surprise as it was only announced early this morning following the news of her new patronages.

“The Duchess’s decision to support Smart Works reflects her passion in supporting women and her commitment will help women in need across the UK,” Kensington Palace announced.

Other patronages Meghan will be supporting are the National Theatre, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and Mayhew – a charity which reduces the number of animals in need.
